Thank you for your interest in the dermatology residency program at UAMS.

Applications for residency are accepted only through the ERAS system. The application deadline is October 20th, 2020 for consideration for entry into the program on July 1st, 2020. The dermatology residency program at UAMS is a categorical program. PGY-1 interns complete a preliminary year in Internal Medicine and are expected to function in a similar capacity to categorical Internal Medicine interns during that year.

The department of dermatology has set a recommended minimum Step 1 score of 235 and 3 letters of recommendation to be considered for acceptance into the program. The NRMP provides information to applicants regarding successfully matched applicants including average Step scores for dermatology. USMLE Step 2 CK is not required for the application, but it is strongly recommended.

Students that complete an away rotation with the UAMS Dermatology department and wish to apply to the residency program will be interviewed during their rotation.

Virtual Interviews will be held on December 4th and December 11th, 2020¬†for this year’s applicants.
