Jared Gardner, M.D.,  is an Associate Professor in the departments of Pathology and Dermatology. He is the program director of the Dermatopathology fellowship program at UAMS.

Dr. Gardner graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA in 2006. He completed residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Houston Methodist Hospital. Trained under the direction of Dr. Sharon Weiss, a world renowned expert in bone and soft tissue sarcoma pathology , with fellowships in bone/soft tissue pathology and dermatopathology at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Gardner was recruited to UAMS in 2012. He is actively involved in the use of Social Media in Medicine chairing subcommittees for both the Unites States & Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) and The American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP).  Dr. Gardner was recently appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. He maintains an active and exuberant passion in research and education by instructing fellows, residents and medical students.

Dr. Gardner is board certified in dermatopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology and is actively involved in national pathology and dermatopathology societies.
